  1. This directory contains the Metafont sources for the evaltrace font.
  2. The files, et8.mf, et9.mf, et10.mf, and et12.mf are the root files
  3. for the 8, 9, 10, and 12 point fonts.  The 11 point font is created
  4. by using magstep(0.5).

  6. This font is based on the Computer Modern \tt font, so it uses
  7. basically the same setup (e.g., generate instead of input).  The files
  8. should be processed by "cmmf", or else "mf" with the "cmbase".  For
  9. example, to generate the laserwriter gf and pk files for the 11pt et
  10. font, you should use a command something like:

  12.     % cmmf "\mode:=lw; mag:=magstep(0.5); batchmode; input et10"
  13.     % gftopk et10.329gf

  15. The file et.mf contains the routines for the character set.  See the
  16. documentation for details on how to use this font.
